I personally like it the best out of all utensils (Probably cause I'm not too bad at using it). I like how it creates different shades very easily. I also like how quickly it can cover a whole area. The only problem I can think of for using charcoal is that it can tend to dust off to things, but then again art isn't supposed to be clean...
